Virginia Tech entered this past decade patiently waiting the outcome of their tango with the Florida State Seminoles in the 2000 Sugar Bowl. The Hokies left the decade celebrating a monumental win over an over-matched SEC opponent in the Chick-Fil-A bowl. A lot can change in ten years, just ask Bobby Bowden who came in as

I am often amazed when people I speak with tell me how much they overpay when they buy tickets for Broadway, Concerts and Sporting Events. Being a long time Broadway ticket industry veteran and knowing the ins and outs of pricing to various shows, when I talk with folks that call my company, Applause Ticket Agency in New York City, I try my best to inform the public that there is simply no need to pay outrageous prices for tickets. Our DS-2019 forms arrived this morning – huzzah! According to the label on the package it was only posted on the 25th of January so well done FedEx, well done indeed. As the distance between Columbia SC and here is a little over 3900 miles that’s an average speed of 81.25 miles per hour – impressive! I’ve waited for longer than 48 hours for a first class letter to be delivered from Cornwall to Birmingham before – at around 185 miles that would make the average speed of a Royal Mail 1st class post delivery a mere 3.854 miles per hour. I guess they must walk nowadays to reduce their carbon footprint… Anyway, the DS-2019 is the all-important form we were waiting for which we need to take to the US Embassy in London to apply for our J visas.
