A net income of $8.4 million during the quarter is credited to improving business conditions and represents a swing of $22.2 million from first quarter 2009′s loss of $13.8. Even though 2010 1Q net revenues fell 8.4% to $398.4 million from a reported $434.8 million in 2009 1Q, the losses were stemmed, in part, to the company wide cuts in operating costs and expenses.
